This shark I was happy to stroke

This week I celebrated shark week by going to visit the Aquarium of The Pacific in Long Beach, California.

I saw loads of gorgeous colours in tropical fish and beautiful corals. One of the fish start off as female then as they get more stressed they end up turning into bright colourful males. Loads of star fish, eels, and jelly fish.

The sharks were the most fascinating. They had shark eggs on display, they cut part of the shell away so you could see inside to a developing baby shark. They were moving and breathing inside the shell, due to hatch in another 2 months.

In the shark lagoon I was able to put my hands in and feel Zebra, bamboo and epaulette sharks. I still squealed when they came by me. The real dangerous ones were kept in a large viewing tank.  Over 150 sharks at the aquarium!!

The sea lions were fast asleep lying on their backs looking like they wanted their tummy rubbing. The cutest where the energetic sea otters. Even though I was there late they were still playing around and diving in the water.

I did go later in the day and it was quite dark so lots of my pics showed me being reflected in the glass. I managed to get some pics for you. I was there right to the end of the day, so late in fact they had to kick me out.  I will be back soon…xxx
